Here at Paladone, we’re joyful for all the things going on in June. Here are our top dates to look forward to across the month.
World Bicycle Day – June 3rd
If you’ve revisited riding your bike during the current global crisis, then June 3rd is the day you. Put your spinning skills to the test and get out cycling! At a distance, of course. 2020 marks the second year of World Bicycle Day being officially recognised.
World Environment Day – June 5th
Calling all eco-warriors out there, pay your respects to the planet on June 5th. One thing we all seem to be doing more of at the moment is walking. Why not change up your route and see if you can spot any new outdoor gems?
Last June, we celebrated World Environment Day by adding BDP, which stands for Breakdown Plastic, to over 250 of our products! We’ve been adding more ever since.
If you want to take your environment appreciation one step further, join the Wildlife Trust’s 30 Days Wild challenge. They’ve got plenty of tips on how you can do your part for the environment while we’re all socially distancing.
Father’s Day – 21st June
Time to celebrate the father figure in your life – Sunday 21st June is dedicated to all dads. It’s safe to say that for some, this Father’s Day may look a little bit different than normal due to coronavirus.
Whether you’re spending the day together or setting aside some time for a call with him, we have a huge range of unique gifts and presents for dads on our website.
Lady and the Tramp anniversary – 22nd June
While the summer movie season is on hold, now is the perfect time to revisit those classic films. Lady and the Tramp turns 65 this month! The romantic canine adventure film was originally released on 22nd June 1955.
With the live-action remake now available on Disney+, you could watch the two films back-to-back!
Donkey Kong Land anniversary – 26th June
Donkey Kong Land turns 25 this month! First released in North America on June 26th, the Game Boy platform game was the handheld follow-up to the SNES’s Donkey Kong Country. Donkey Kong and sidekick Diddy Kong returned to take on K. Rool and the Kremlings.
Remembered for its strange quirks, players who return to Donkey Kong Land now may find themselves frustrated with its saving mechanism. In order to save the game, you must collect enough letters to spell out KONG at the end of each level.
