Since it joined the gaming scene in 2011, Minecraft quickly became one of the most influential online gaming universes of the 21st century.

In 2009, Markus “Notch” Persson released “Cave Game” on PC only. It took just six days to develop the first version of the game! It later changed to Minecraft: Order of the Stone until finally becoming the simple Minecraft that we know and play today.

But it’s not just any game. Minecraft is popular across the globe for a number of different reasons. Ahead of the release of Minecraft Dungeons on May 26th, we dig deep through the blocks of the best-selling video game of all time.
