As part of our charitable efforts towards Chestnut Treehouse, a children’s hospice who care for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-shortening conditions, a group of 9 Paladone staff took part in their annual off-road cycling event – Hit the Downs MTB 2018.

Despite the odds being against us at times a Paledonian team of keen enthusiastic riders set off early to complete a 30K mountain bike ride across the South Downs on Sunday 6th May. The day wasn’t without it’s dramas; a puncture within the first 3 miles followed by brake failure on another bike, nearly sending Steve Slee over the handlebars, the team successfully completed this event with everyone making it to the finishing line.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and to all the friends, families and colleagues that dug deep to sponsor the guys and raise a remarkable sum of money on behalf of the Chestnut Tree House. To date we have raised as a team £1780 and with gift aid on top (25%) £2225. Should anyone who did not get the chance to donate but would still like to, its not too late. https://www.justgiving.com/companyteams/paladone
