In what will no doubt be remembered as Paladone’s stupidest moment of 2019, seven brave idiots faced the coldness of the British Chanel to raise money and awareness for this years’ chosen charity, The Clocktower Sanctuary. Providing safe spaces for homeless 16-25-year-olds, TCS give access to services and support, along with everyday things that young people need, like somewhere to shower and relax, use of a computer, a healthy meal and somewhere to do laundry.

Our chilly 7 joined forces from across the business including sales, warehouse, design, and product development to head to beautiful Shoreham-by-Sea’s pebbly beach and throw themselves in at the deep end – a dip in some 8ft waves clocking in at just 11 degrees Celsius! On a day as cold as this, most of the crew regretted stepping outside the office, let alone into the water, but after their 30-second dip, an hour of recovery with foil blankets, cups of tea and much bravado, it was generally considered a wise and exciting venture that should really become an annual event… we’ll see….!

All in all, £727 was raised for The Clocktower Sanctuary – worth every penny, for the spectators at least… Well done gents, stupid, but admirable, you should be very proud of yourselves!
