Hi all,

The Charity Committee is pleased to announce that so far this year the staff at Paladone have raised a whopping £1,120.25 for our chosen charity, The Clock Tower – a huge chunk of our target for 2019! Thanks to all the sample sale shoppers, poker players, tuck shop shoppers and anyone else who has donated so far.

Aside from financial donations we have also completed our ‘give a little love’ collection of vital goods for The Clock Tower which took place in Valentine’s week. Check out the haul below, and thank you to everyone who donated.

With no actual charitable activities planned for March, we are, instead, using this month to encourage our staff plan either solo or group efforts, to raise money on behalf of Paladone. Last year’s altruistic efforts included a group bike ride, several abseils, and a whole lot of running.

Already Debbie from HR has got 2019 off to a flying start with her efforts in the Brighton Half marathon last weekend… congratulations Debbie! Click here to get a final bit of sponsorship in!

To hopefully inspire our staff we have taken the time to dig out some fantastic opportunities for fun or healthy fundraising ideas, taking place throughout 2019, and we’d like to sweeten the deal by offering a ‘Team Paladone’ cap to anyone/any team who takes part in an event, raising funds on behalf of Paladone. If you don’t like the caps, then feel free to bring in any of your own items of clothing – running tee, jeggings etc., and we can brand them up in-house for you The list is not exhaustive, these are just ideas.  If you find any other challenges that you want to complete and want to donate  The Clock Tower Sanctuary, just select the charity when setting up your just giving page!

IDEAS;

The Clock Tower specific events;

Finally, two reminders for STAFF ONLY;

1 – the ‘Give as You Earn’ scheme is quick and easy to set up, and allows you to donate any amount of money that you choose to any cause on a monthly basis (to ANY charity you choose). You can also opt to have your chosen amount put into a ‘pot’, and then withdraw and donate it in emergencies, disaster relief for example. Click here to sign up today!

2 – save the date; we’re currently planning a sample sale on the lunch of Thursday 17th April (a great opportunity to grab some non-chocolate treats for Easter), followed, on the lunchtime of the 18th April, by an Easter bake-off and presentation from The Clock Tower about the work they undertake, so we can learn more about where our donations are going.

Thanks again for all your support, if you have any ideas or questions, please do reach out;
