The opportunity:
We are looking for a talented and driven Accountant to join our Finance Team. this role will help support the Paladone/WeCool intergationn by supporting our US finance team to manage all accounting activities to help the business to make critical financial decisions by collecting tracking and maintaining companies finances for the purpose of providing accurate financial reporting and managing general ledger systems within the WeCool Toys business. This role will be working with WeCool Toys USA based finance team.
The role will report to our Financial Controller(UK)
What are key duties of the role?
Monthly Management Accounting
- Support the production of monthly Management Accounts across the WeCool Toys US Business, using Quickbooks
- Assist with the Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations for WeCool Toys
- Providing mentorship to Philippine’s accounting assistance team
- Accountable for liaison with departments across the global business to ensure accurate data preparation
- Undertake monthly account closure through reconciliation of all accounts by entering closing journals, accruals and prepayments
- Make recommendations to the business regarding improvements to processes that can lead to better profitability and more efficient ways of working
- Identify potential risks and feedback to the business
- Support Financial Controller and UK Finance team with any ad-hoc requirements
- Preparation of monthly rebates, deductions and discounts
- Management and reconciliation of fixed asset register
Accounts Payable
- Undertake all accounts payable activity for US & China
- Liaise with HK to make factory and non-factory commission payments via Bill.com
- Manage credit card entries and payments, utilising reporting from Amex and using this data for internal reporting purposes
- Preparation of all US commissions and royalties
Expenses
- Liaise with colleagues around expenses for HK and China
- Verification and payment of US, HK & China expenses report
What we need you to bring to the team:
- Proven experience in E-commerce and Operations Management
- Minimum of 2 years working in a similar role
- Detailed knowledge of QuickBooks
- Excel Skills – Intermediate
- Commercial awareness
- Bachelor’s in accounting/finance or qualified by 10 plus years of experience
- Knowledge of US payroll
