The opportunity:

We are looking for a talented and driven FP & A Analyst to join our Finance Team.

The role will provide financial planning, analysis, and business partnering support that drives data-informed decision-making and improves commercial performance. This role will deliver accurate forecasting, insightful reporting, and strategic analysis that supports company growth, efficiency, and profitability.

The role will report to our Commercial Finance Business Partner

What are key duties of the role?

Financial Analysis & Planning

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including detailed variance analysis to support the production of management accounts.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Conduct deep-dive profitability and margin analysis across product categories, customer segments, and sales channels to highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure financial data integrity through close collaboration with the Financial Accounting team.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Enhance and maintain Power BI dashboards to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and actionable insights for key stakeholders.
  • Evolve the business intelligence reporting suite to support the needs of commercial, operational, and leadership teams.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across areas such as sales, cost control, and gross margin performance, highlighting trends and risks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Planning teams to align financial forecasts with operational drivers and commercial objectives.
  • Act as a proactive Finance Business Partner, providing data-led insights and challenging assumptions to drive effective decision-making.
  • Contribute financial input to cross-functional strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and investment evaluations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Champion a data-driven culture by delivering clear and meaningful insights that support fast and empowered decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve the use of existing tools (Power BI, Excel, ERP systems).
  • Support the Commercial Finance team in embedding best practice across the business and developing finance capabilities among non-finance teams.

What we need you to bring to the team:

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong Excel skills and financial modelling experience
  • Proven expertise in Power BI for reporting and dashboarding
  • Commercial curiosity and strong analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder confidence
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems (Dynamics Navision experience is a plus)
  • Adaptable: Embraces change and is eager to develop skills in a dynamic and growing organisation.
  • Confident Communicator: Builds integrity and trust through clear, concise, and effective communication.
  • Solutions-Oriented: Approaches problems with a mindset to find options and deliver improvements.
