The Opportunity
We are looking for a Creative Intern to join our in-house design team. This role will report to the Lead Designer and will involve working across product and packaging design, assisting with various creative tasks, and developing fundamental design skills. You will gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced studio environment and play a key role in bringing exciting products to market.
What You’ll Be Doing
Creative Design & Artwork
- Assist with packaging layouts, artwork creation, and cutter guides.
- Gain a full understanding of packaging design, barcodes, and technology warnings.
- Work with style guides, sourcing assets and applying artwork accordingly.
- Support the design team with artwork amendments for products and packaging.
- Ensure artwork files are set up correctly and maintain organized digital files.
Mock-Ups & Prototyping
- Create packaging mock-ups for internal reviews and retailer meetings.
- Monitor materials and maintain mock-up equipment (laser cutters & printers).
Creative Research & Inspiration
- Gather and collate market research for reports and presentations.
- Assist in the photography and editing of product, packaging, and lifestyle images.
- Support presentation creation and Canto uploads.
Quality Control & Organization
- Assist in checking artwork accuracy (spelling, codes, die cuts, and compliance).
- Help maintain a well-organized and efficient design workflow.
What We Need You to Bring
- Currently studying towards a Product Design degree (or similar creative discipline).
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong illustration skills and an eye for detail.
- Basic understanding of product, packaging, and lifestyle photography.
- A creative mindset with a passion for design and innovation.
- Strong time management, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and positive “can-do” attitude.
