This year marks the 100th anniversary of Children’s Book Week and we couldnt be more excited!

With the simple belief that a book can change a child’s life, Children’s Book Week began their mission in 1919 and quickly picked up with libraries across the world in hopes to promote the power of literacy. The Children’s Book Council has even become an advocate for the children’s publishing industry and supported the national recognition.

Schools across the world partake in this event and are happy to see students aside their teachers and parents become more aware of what reading can do for them. It can take them into another realm and let them become a character or can go as far as implant a new form of thinking and adopting a new perspective.

Celebrated mostly in elementary and middle schools, we encourage anyone to celebrate the magical world of books and the love they bring to many.

Reading comes in all shapes and forms. It doesn’t have to necessarily be a novel. It can span from a comic book to a sweet poetry book. And what is better than grabbing a great book and immersing yourself in a good read?

Make sure to gift someone you know this Marvel Comic Book style Playing Cards or this great Bunny Bookmark so they can not only open for a surprise, but helps them jump back into their world of fun.

What’re some of your favorite books?
