We have enjoyed continuous growth and have ambitious plans for the future. We are looking to recruit a talented Amazon Marketplace Manager to support the continued growth of the e-commerce channel. It is a new role at Paladone and an opportunity for a highly driven individual to make a mark. It is likewise, a unique opportunity, to join a passionate, committed group of individuals all with a strong work ethic and a desire to continuously improve across the business.
Ideally, this individual will have experience of working with Amazon and Amazon Marketplace. As well as the build, out of other marketplaces. with an analytical mind, tenacious attitude and an exceptionally positive personality.
Reporting to the Sales Director/Marketing Manager the Marketplace Manager will solely look after digital accounts including Amazon, Ebay and develop others across both Europe and the US.
Build and Maintain Global Amazon Marketplace Storefronts and Product Pages – Work closely with our Marketing, Design and Wholesale Sales teams to setup product pages, design compelling brand content, and list accurate technical specifications. Ensure products are listed, optimised and effective across all 3rd party platforms. Ensure MAP pricing is consistent and enforced (USA only). Manage account metrics across all 3rd party platforms ensuring we are delivering an excellent service.
Revenue Generation -Maintain and Increase revenue across 3rd party platforms in line with business plan
Product Merchandising Strategy – Developing an in-depth knowledge of the business and the product range to ensure that listings are always up to date with correct stock levels and also pricing information. Analyse sales data and ensure all products are generating sales
Design and Track ROI of Advertising – Work directly with E-commerce Manager to develop and track seasonal campaigns globally including PPC (Sponsored ads) and Headline Search ads.
Research and Outmanoeuvre Competitors – Consistently run SWOT analysis to enable an agile response to an ever-changing marketplace. Reporting on competitors’ promotions, advertising & content on a weekly basis.
Forecasting and Inventory Management – Work with our Operations and Warehouse teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels in all Amazon fulfilment centres globally. Design plans to maximise sales of slow-selling stock and increase profit on the top-sellers.
Customer Reviews – Working closely with our Customer Service Department will be essential to ensure customer questions and issues are quickly resolved. Also, working with the Product Development and Marketing teams to launch products with early adopters so Amazon has honest, quality reviews live as products hit retailer’s shelves globally.
Build External Marketplace Network – Research, design and implement a global marketplace strategy beyond Amazon.
Teamwork – Work with the E-commerce Manager to ensure the company’s Omni channel vision is pushed to all platforms. Working closely with the Customer Service team to identify problem areas and suggest improvements. Troubleshooting on a daily basis, liaising with the warehouse to resolve order issues and maximising opportunities online.
- A proven track record of setting and achieving targets.
- Proven experience in ecommerce and in particular marketplace selling.
- A deep understanding of Amazon, Groupon, eBay and marketplace industry.
- Understanding of PPC, SEO and content writing.
- A deep understanding and experience of Excel.
- Knowledge of the ecommerce landscape and international marketplaces.
- The ability to nurture and build relationships with 3rd party account managers.
- Managing stakeholder relationships across different departments.
- Proven experience in providing detailed reports.
- An entrepreneurial and creative mindset. Desired
- Minimum of 3 years working in a similar role.
- Experience working with Linnworks or another multichannel software (Volo, Veeqo etc.)
- A basic understanding of UK / International logistics.
